Donnie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Reed Vinson Crockett and Edna Douglas Crockett on August 18th, 1959. He went to School in Hobbs, New Mexico. He joined the Army in 1977, serving both state-side and in Germany.
He went to Barber College in Houston as a Master Barber. Donnie had a Barber Shop in Pasadena for a number of years before moving his shop to Baytown on Garth Road. He retired from there for health reasons in 2017.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, brother: John David Crockett, sisters: Debra Sue Varner and Vicki Diane Trevino.
He is survived by his wife: Pamela Walker Crockett, son: Matthew Brady Crockett and wife Ann, son: Alvin Clayton Crockett and wife Carahann, brother: Mike Williams and wife Mary, brother: Ronnie Crockett and wife Patti, sister: Linda Blackwood & husband Bobby, brother: Billy Crockett and wife Angie, and brother: Terry Crockett and wife Sheila.
Grandchildren: Madison Crockett, Cade Crockett, Layton Crockett, Landon Crockett. Bonus son: John Varner, Bonus Grandchildren: Brooklyn, Hali, & Jolynn Henry , numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at First Apostolic Church of Highlands, 1211 S Main St, Highlands, Texas 77562. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 1211 S Main St, Highlands, Texas 77562. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 13703 Sralla Rd, Crosby, Texas 77532.
