

Delroy Mulkey, 78, of Mont Belvieu, TX was born September 24, 1931 in Goose Creek and passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 in a Houston hospital. He was a 1949 graduate of Cedar Bayou High School and retired from Lubrizol with 35 ½ years of service. He was a member of Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church, Cedar Bayou Order of the Eastern Star #11 and Cedar Bayou Masonic Lodge #321, where he was a past Master. He and his wife moved to Hamilton in 1990, where they lived until moving to the Mont Belvieu area in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon S. Mulkey; mother, ""Sweet"" Penny Dodd; and sister, Marie Reese. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edna Mulkey of Mont Belvieu; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Julie Mulkey and Dennis L. and Jackie Mulkey, all of Baytown and Michael Dale Mulkey of Cypress; sisters and brother-in-law, Nelda and Harry Hadlock of Mont Belvieu and Bobbie Cook of Belton; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Candy Penny of Baytown; and 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Masonic graveside services will be Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Carol Turner officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kameron Mulkey, Joshua Mulkey, Marcus Mulkey, Joel Mulkey, Adam Henicke, James Northcutt and Kelly Henicke.
