Delilah Gale Bird, age 85 of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on August 17, 1938 to Andrew Bates and Betty Thompson Bates. Delilah was married to Aubrey Lee Bird for 46 years. She was a homemaker and spent her days raising her children and caring for her family. She loved sewing and knitting. Delilah was a member of Missouri Street Church of Christ.
Delilah was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Lee Bird, her mother and step father Betty and Rias Wells, father Andrew Bates, son Aubrey Wayne Bird, and 11 sisters, and 2 brothers and 1 step brother. She is survived by her son Gary Glenn and wife Stacey Bird, daughter Gayle Denise Bird, daughter in law Cherry Bird, grandchildren Jason Bird and wife Jamie, Derrick Bird and wife Shawntia, Kasey Fuentes and husband Anthony, Jeremy Sears and wife Janette, and Kelly Putt and husband Austin. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
