She was born in Houston, Texas, on December 2, 1954.
Debbie was a firm believer in the Christian faith. This guided her in her journey as she became a cancer survivor. To give back she participated in multiple fundraisers for cancer awareness. She and her husband supported Houston Baptist University, University of Houston and many fundraisers at Sterling High School, where she, her son Chris, and her grandson Tyler had graduated. Later she became a big supporter of Barbers Hill High School where granddaughter, Peyton attends. Debbie was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, niece, and friend.
Debbie worked at Humana Hospital Baytown for 6 years in both the pharmacy and the lab before her first retirement to stay at home with newborn son. Later in support of her family, she was the office manager at the newly acquired family real estate office of Landmark Properties in Baytown. Several years later she acted as the office manager and bookkeeper of the newly acquired family-owned Maxi Discount Pharmacy, while also working part time as a bookkeeper and office assistant for a local attorney. Upon the birth of her second grandchild, Peyton, Debbie retired from her duties and became a full-time grandmother to both Tyler and Peyton.
Louis and Debbie have been married for 47 years and in their early years spent many hunting and fishing trips together. Whether it was Lake Guerrero, the bay or the deer lease, she loved being outdoors and near the water. Debbie loved her family, and it was her greatest honor to devote her time and love to Louis, Chris, Brandy, Tyler and Peyton. She loved to travel with her family on the many cruises, Disney World tips, and the annual New Braunfels summer trips. She especially enjoyed her trips to Nashville and Las Vegas to see Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and attend the CMA awards. She lovingly watched Chris, Tyler and Peyton in all their sporting events even traveling all over to watch. Just this year she was able to travel and watch Peyton play volleyball in San Antonio, Kansas City, Las Vegas and Dallas. A great treasure that Louis and Debbie both enjoyed was to live across the street from their grandchildren and watch them grow up. Debbie found great pleasure in making dinners she graciously shared each night with not only Louis but also Chris and his family. Walking across the street to Grandma’s house to be doted on or see Grandma and Pops on the bench in the front yard while arriving home from school is something Tyler and Peyton will cherish forever.
She enjoyed shopping not just for herself but for others. As a young mother, she would carry Chris on her hip and shop for hours at the San Jacinto mall. She was selfless and put the needs of others before her own. She spent hours helping with her mother’s care while she was in a nursing facility. She never showed up empty handed. Debbie also enjoyed the outdoors and working in her yard and garden as well as those of other family and friends. She loved growing beautiful plants and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, sister, Kathy Buchanan, and her father, John Buchanan.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Fadal, son, Chris Fadal (wife, Brandy), grandson, Tyler Fadal, granddaughter, Peyton Fadal, mother, Carolyn Sanders Trigg and step-father Dennis, sister, Terry Moyers, brother, Jay Buchanan (wife, Melinda), brother, Tim Buchanan (wife, Ana), sister, Cindy Baker (husband, Paul), sister-in-law, Syandra Ingram, nieces, Erin and Macie Moyers, nephews, Aidan Buchanan, Bryce Buchanan, Ryan, Zach, and Conner Baker, David and Stephen Ingram, uncle, Bubba Sullins (wife, Valerie), numerous cousins, friends and special grand dogs Wilson and River.
