David L. Jackson, 57, of Baytown, Texas was born on October 23, 1957, in Pasadena to parents Dave and Kathryn Jackson, and passed from this life on Thursday, January 29, 2015. David moved at an early age to Baytown, where he graduated from Ross Sterling High School in 1976. After graduation David was employed by Jake Harris & Sons. He was a long time member of Memorial Baptist Church.
David is survived by his son, David L. Jackson II of Florence, KY; mother, Kathryn Colwell of Baytown; and father and stepmother, Dave and Blanche Jackson of Shelbyville. He is also survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Donna and Bobby Maxey of Mont Belvieu, Carol Fountain of Nacogdoches, and Dana Jackson of Nacogdoches; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Debbie Jackson of The Woodlands; and two grandchildren, Braden and Ryleigh Jackson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends in the Memorial Baptist Church Chapel, 600 W. Sterling St., Baytown, TX 77520, on Saturday, January 31, 2015, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating. A private burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Jackson, Tanner Fountain, Lonnie Moses, Paul Irwin, Bobby Maxey, and Jason McWhorter. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Hlavaty, Jerry Harris, Jim McKey, and Tim McKey.
