Clemencia Cardona Flores

Clemencia Cardona Flores, 92, of Houston was born January 6, 1913 in Remolino, Mexico and passed away Thursday, December 29, 2005 at her home. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and volunteered through the YWCA and the Houston ISD. She was a charter member of Familias Unidas and LULAC chapter #643.

A Rosary will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 8200 Roos Rd., Houston, TX 77036, in the room D Pavilion. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, December 31, 2005 at 12 Noon at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Hugh Cullen officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Flores, Troy Flores, Rhett Flores, Jonathan Quintero, Paul Cardona, and Michael McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Flores and Christopher Quintero.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Flores Sr., parents, Cecilio and Maria Cardona, and sister, Edwina Carruthers and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Adolph Jr. and Barbara Flores of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Mario Quintero of Houston; brothers, Cecil Cardona of Boerne, Paul Cardona of Houston, Enrique Cardona of Houston, Salvador Cardona of Houston, and Angel Cardona of Austin; grandchildren, Michael Flores, Troy Flores, Gary Flores, Rhett Flores, Pamela Jasso, Jonathan Quintero, Christopher Quintero, and Abigail McDonald; and 13 great grandchildren.
