Bull Dobson

Bull was a lifelong resident of the Baytown-Highlands area. After graduating Robert E. Lee High School in 1954, he rode on the rodeo circuit and was a member of the Texas National Guard. He was a retired salesman from IMSCO after more than 20 years of service, was an honorary member of the Baytown Boat Club, enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, and many years of cooking both competitively and fundraising and was affectionately known as “Poppa” to his grandchildren and those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby Ray Dobson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Helen Dobson; children, Rob Dobson and his wife, Rosa, Brenda Nettle and Connie Dobson; grandchildren, Racquel Shows and her husband, Casey, Jared Dobson, Mary Tyler Dobson, Garrett Nettle and Jace Kaleel; great-grandchild, Harper Shows; sister-in-law, Jane Dobson; brothers-in-law, Bubba Mueller, Mike Mueller and his wife, Barbara and Richard Mueller and his wife Debbie and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 23, 2017 at Navarre Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Herschel Rosser.
