Brandon was former longtime resident of Baytown and a 2008 graduate of Ross Sterling High School. He was a fireman that started his career with the Highlands Volunteer Fire Department, was with the Houston Fire Department from 2013 to October of this year when he joined the department at the Port of Houston and also worked with the Jacinto City Fire Department.
At 18 Brandon became a Master Mason at Old River Lodge #1442 in Mont Belview, Tx.
Brandon was loved by many. Truly an angel here on earth who touched your heart with his witty personality, funny humor and infectious smile. May we try to find comfort knowing he is now our angel above watching over us all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marion McCartney, Jr.; Grandfather, Jerry McCartney, Great-grandparents, Pete and Ruth Spanier, Bruce Warren and Sarah Linscomb and an uncle, Keith McCartney.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Lacey and Stephen Kovacs, grandparents, Sylvia and Jeff Warren, Patsy McCartney and Dewayne and Ellen McCartney; great-grandmother, Betty Warren; uncles and aunts, Ronnie and Tracy McCartney, Russell and Dina McCartney and Michael Herrin, Amber Hales and Cynthia McCartney and cousins, Hunter, Krystal, Garrett, Cassie, Kylee, Max, Bailey, Noah, Brantly, Brooklynn, Teighan, Koltyn, Ryan, Wesley, Coleman, and Kadence
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Crosby Church 5725 US-90, Crosby, Tx.
