Billy Wayne Jennings, 85, of Crosby, Texas passed away on April 4, 2025. Billy Wayne was born to Jimmie Lee Jennings and Retha May Jennings on October 13, 1939 in French Camp, Mississippi. He married Laura Ann Jennings in 1961 and they lived together in Crosby, Texas. Together they raised two children.
He is survived by his wife Laura Ann Jennings, his daughter and son in law Retha and James Mott, his son and daughter in law Stanley and Deeann Jennings, and four grandchildren Ashley Jones, Kayla Cantu, Melissa Reyna, and Jimmy Mott. He also leaves to cherish his memory two sisters Ruth Beach and Rosie Mosley, along with 8 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie Lee Jennings and Retha May Jennings.
Billy Wayne worked as a maintenance welder for The Port of Houston for 25 years, and as a pipeline welder in his early years. He enjoyed fabricating and tinkering around in his shop and enjoyed growing day lilies.
A gathering of family and friends for visitation will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas, 77521 on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 9:30 am at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, graveside will follow at Sterling White Cemetery, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas, 77562.
Pastor Richard Amador will officiate the ceremony.
