Billy Lee Henneke

Billy Lee Henneke, 89, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2025. He was born in Colorado County on January 16, 1936, to Paul and Ernestine Henneke. Billy worked in the Oil and Gas industry for John Deere, Tenneco, and Enron. Billy often spoke fondly of his years working at Tenneco and friendships he had with coworkers and neighbors.

He enjoyed repairing and renovating cars, trucks, and furniture. He loved working around the house, doing yard work, and tinkering with lawnmowers! Billy looked forward to spending time with his family and his pets. He rescued many animals through his lifetime including dogs, cats, and even wildlife.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ernestine Henneke; foster mother, Ms. Lizzie Westmoreland; brothers, Paul and John Conrad Henneke.

He is survived by his wife, Loraine Henneke; children, Vicky Hertzfeldt and husband Terry, Billy Ray Henneke, Joyce Kell, and Laura Jo Henneke; grandkids, Heather Sweet and husband Tommy, Chad Kell and wife Sarah, Jason Henneke and wife Brittney, Julie Schwartzengraber and husband Ryan, and Savannah Henneke; along with numerous great-grandchildren; and nephews, Paul Lee and Johnny Henneke.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm, Friday, February 14, 2025, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77520. Graveside service will be at 12 pm, Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Texas.
