Born in Houston, TX on August 30, 1929 to Marvin E and Mary Ruth McDaniel Cole, Beverly was married to the love of her life Joseph Wilson, Jr on May 22, 1948 until his passing on February 18, 2007. They began their life together in Highlands, TX where they lived until moving to Baytown, TX in 1963. Beverly was a homemaker until 1974 when she became a secretary at Ross Sterling HS in Baytown where she worked until retirement in 1992. She and her husband Joe, enjoyed spending time at their Sam Rayburn lake house as well as an occasional road trip. They particularly enjoyed following RSS football, even after their children had graduated. They spent many hours attending their grandchildren’s functions, including cold, rainy nights watching RSS soccer. Their family was their life.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents, her sister Barbara Cole Leflar, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, and great-grandchild Isaiah Matthew Wilson. She is survived by her children; Pam Wilson Allen of Houston, and Scott Wilson and wife Kimberly of Highlands. Grandchildren; Emily Allen Maass and husband Jason of Brenham, Andrew Allen and wife Valorie of Cypress, Bradley Wilson and wife Kenda of Baytown, and Jared Wilson and wife Sarah of Corpus Christi. Great-grandchildren; Avery Maass, Madison Maass, Julie Maass, Drake Wilson, Joseph Wilson, and Adriana Wilson She also held a special place in her heart for step-grandson Brandon Miller and wife Rachel of Rolla, MO and their new daughter Eliana. Acting as pallbearers will be Bradley Wilson, Jared Wilson, Andrew Allen, Jason Maass, Dick Leflar, and Bobby Leflar.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 7, 2020 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Wooster Baptist Church, 7007 Bayway Dr, Baytown, TX 77520, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. A private family burial will be held at a later time.
