Betty Waldrop, 87, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 in Baytown. She was born August 12, 1924 in Toowoomba, Australia to her late parents, George Harth and Ruth Kitto Harth and has lived in Baytown since 1956.
Betty was a retired inspector from Murray Rubber. She gained her United States citizenship on April 19, 1957 and enjoyed dancing, hosting parties and fishing.
Mrs. Waldrop was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, William B. Hunter and Cecil Hunter.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Waldrop of Baytown; sons, Wesley Waldrop and his wife Doris of Dayton and Delbert Thrash and his wife Willie; daughter, Judy LaVern Riggert and her husband Bobby of Dayton; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren; neices, Neral Hunt and Lee Ann Cunningham and sons Casy and Ken Cunningham.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston with Rev. Chris Webb officiating.
