Bess Lynn Wolf

Bess Lynn Wolf died on the evening of Monday, May 22, 2017, in Baytown, Texas at the age of 79. She was born in DeQuincy, Louisiana on February 12, 1938, and graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1956, where she was a proud member of the Lake Charles Kiltie's Marching Drum Corps. She retired from U.S. Steel Texas Works in Baytown where she was employed for 30 years. After retiring from U.S. Steel Texas Works, Bess worked for Mike Shields of the Baytown West Chambers County Economic Development Foundation. She and her husband resided in Fredericksburg, Texas for 9 years before moving back to Baytown to be close to family.

She was preceded in death by her late husband of 43 years, Arnold Frederick Wolf, Jr.; sister, Jerrie Dean DiFebbo; and brother-in-law, Wayne Brannon. She is survived by her two sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda L. and Dick Dawson of Baytown and Anita Brannon of Fort Worth; nephews, Paul Dawson, Jr., Wes Brannon, Matt DiFebbo, and Paul DiFebbo; nieces, Sarah LaFollette, Cindy McDonough, and Theresa Ferguson; and many friends.

Her family will receive friends Friday, May 26, 2017, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church Alexander Chapel, 2714 Ferry Road, Baytown, Texas 77520, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Karen Tyler officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.
