Archie Vic Moyers, age 52, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Archie was born December 10, 1968 to Ronald and Pat Moyers of Highlands, Texas. Archie married the love of his life Tammy Willman, February 17, 1990 and they were married for 31 years. Together they built a family of four children, Archie, Alexander, Peyton, and Miranda.
Archie was always full of laughter and loved to make others laugh, often telling his many “dad” jokes. He had a way of lighting up any room he walked into that made people gravitate toward him. Archie enjoyed hosting batting practice, barbeques and crawfish boils at his home, golfing, going to Astros games, and shopping; especially for the women in his life. Above all, his unending love for the Tennessee Titans did not go unnoticed, often times beating the sportscasters to their next comment as well as being very vocal about how much he despised Joe Buck.
Archie’s priority in life was his family and he did his absolute best to teach his children about life values and responsibilities they would encounter in adulthood. He was active in youth sports where he coached Optimist Football, Little League and Pony League Baseball and Upward Basketball for many years and quite often coached championship teams. His children were all involved in sports and Archie tried to teach and mentor every player on the team equally as if they were his own. He consistently reminded his players to play with joy and heart. He liked to tell them if they did, they would get to dance with the pretty girl at the championship. Professionally, he worked at Eads and Associates for 21 years where he grew many relationships with people who had a big impact on his life. Through this career, he had the opportunity to travel to Singapore and Peru and completely enjoyed learning about the people and their culture. Archie will be missed by all who knew him and he will be remembered for his dedication to family and friends, his work ethic, and his good judgement as an example to all. Because of his love for life, his compassion for others and a heart the size of Texas, he was loved and admired by so many whose lives he touched in positive ways.
Archie was a member of Rollingbrook Fellowship in Baytown. Archie is survived by his wife Tammy, son Archie and wife Lauren, son Alexander and fiancé Joleigh, son Peyton, daughter Miranda, father Ronald Moyers, sister Kim Foster and his beloved French Bulldog “Charlie”. Archie was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Moyers and most recently his Meemaw, Archie Ruth Moyers.
