Andrew J. Lannie, 90, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. He was born on October 4, 1931 in Center Ridge, Arkansas, and was raised in Hayti, Missouri. Andrew obtained his undergraduate degree from Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, Arkansas, and served his country in the United States Army. He later graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, and became an attorney licensed in the State of Texas on September 10, 1959. During the majority of his professional career, Andrew practiced law in Baytown, Texas.
Andrew was preceded in death by his son, Vincent Lannie; his parents, Mary and Pete Lannie of Hayti, Missouri; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bertha and Bill Ragley of Houston, Texas; his six brothers, Nick Lannie, Bill Lannie, Tom Lannie, Frank Lannie, Tony Lannie, and Barney Lannie; his four sisters, Catherine DeSalvo, Rose DeSalvo, Evelyn Elliot, and Jody Clemmons.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vivian Lannie; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott Lannie and Laura Henry, of Mont Belvieu, Texas; his granddaughter, Sophia Lannie, of Mont Belvieu, Texas; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and William Koenig, of Pearland, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Andrew will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
Finally, Andrew’s family members wish to express their appreciation of Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital and Harbor Hospice for their care and support.
