Alvera Ernestine Taylor, 95, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on March 20, 2022. She was born in Smithville, Texas on September 28, 1926 to Willie and Mable Duncan. Alvera was married to William Taylor for 36 years.
Alvera had a career as a typing teacher at Sterling High School. She had a passion for gardening and loved caring for her dogs.
Alvera was preceded in death by her husband, William Taylor and her son Herbert Hampton, Jr. She is survived by her two grandsons Steve Hampton and Brian Hampton and wife Lindsey; and two great grandchildren Carter and Cameron Hampton.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521. The family will receive guests for visitation from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and the Celebration of Life Service begins at 10:00 am, with Committal Services following at 11:30 am at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
