Alice Hope Allen Harris

Alice Hope Allen “Meme” Harris, 83, of Baytown, died peacefully at home in her sleep November 6, 2005. She was born September 8, 1922 to her parents J.K. and Alice Sophronia (Standley) Allen in Humble, TX .

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of fifty years, Ludd W. (Pete) Harris Jr.; sisters, Lecile Dona (Sister) Harbour, Mary Howard, Myrtyle Bozhart, Ella Mooney; brothers Johnny Gene and Raymond.

She was survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Dittman, Edith and Glenn Harbour; son, Albert Dean Harris of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Penny L. Lalumandier of Baytown, Sean C. Harris Sr. of Texarkana, Ark. Eric D. Harris of Crosby, Dawn M. Navarrette of Redwood, CA, Missy Harris; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Vandagriff and husband Harley, Brittany, Candace, and Billy “Junior” Lalumandier, Sean Jr. and Austin Harris, Chris Mayzen, Eric Jr. and Brandon Harris, Dylan Navarrette, Dora Markham and husband Tommy; great great grandchildren, Conner Troy Andress, Zachariah Brendin Harrelson, Lily Michelle Markham; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Dittman, Edith and Glenn Harbour.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her personal nurses, Scott A. White R.N. and Allison Broussard R.N.

In compliance to her wishes, Mrs. Harris will be cremated.
