At 93 years old, in Baytown Texas, he passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2023.
He was born on April 28, 1930 to Wade and Julia Cole at home in Cecilia, Louisiana with a midwife in attendance. He met his first sweetheart, Gloria, in Franklin Louisiana. They were married for over 40 years before she passed of cancer.
He met his second sweetheart, Arlene and they were married for 30 years. They loved to Square and Round Dance together. She was the love and light of his life during this time.
At 6 years old the family moved to Franklin, LA, in hopes of finding work at the Sugar Mill on the Plantation. He obtained his GED at the age of 19 and later in life completed college courses at Lee College. His primary language was French.
He worked at Brown & Root for 21 years and became a Dredge Boat Captain. He then went to work at DuPont where he was employed for 27 years and retired.
Albert loved to fish, hunt, dance and camp but his favorite hobby was helping people.
He is preceded in death by; his parents Wade and Julia Cole; wife Gloria Cole; grandson Michael Cole; brother Wilbur “Baby” Cole and an infant child.
He is survived by a loving wife, Arlene; two brothers, Percy Cole and wife Sandra, and Gerald Cole; seven children, Don Cole (Judy), Denise Owen, Darcyle Cole, Darryle Cole (Jorgegina) Pam Gurth (Andy), Patty VanDerbeek (Glenn), Connie Carey (Jerry); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren love their pawpaw too.

A graveside service for Albert will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521.
