On October 18, 2023 Aida Aracely Rodríguez entered the presence of the Lord peacefully at the age of 60 after a long, hard-fought battle with the lasting effects she was left from COVID in Kindred Hospital Clear Lake. No matter how sick Aida was, she was always determined to keep going. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers from family, friends, and many supporters carried her through. Everyone that knew her, knows very well how strong of a woman she was. Through her and because of her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like.
Born in Mexico City but registered in Guerrero as a baby, Aida grew up in Cuernavaca, Mexico for majority of her life before she came to the United States. Settling in Los Angeles, CA she was an independent, hardworking woman that provided for her family (her grandmother who she lovingly referred to as Mamatoya and only son at the time) before she met her husband Mariano, whom she eventually shared 32 years of marriage with and raised 4 sons and 1 daughter together. After years of living in California, Aida then moved her growing family to Baytown, Texas. Aida was more than a mother, wife, daughter and sister, she was a strong, confident, beautiful and talented woman. For anyone who met her she will always have a special place in their hearts that's how much of a strong character she was. A saint you could even say, for all the peace she kept and love she gave. She was a loving, forgiving and cherished individual who will be deeply missed. May her memory bring comfort and strength to those who loved her.
Aida is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mamatoya; her son, Gabriel; and her nephew, Bryant Aguilar. She is survived by her husband, Mariano; Her only daughter Salma; Her sons and their wives; Sergio and Jackie, Jonathan and Maricarmen, Israel and Leticia, Mariano and Jazmin. Her grandchildren; Sergio, Seth, Sean, Mia, Noah and Camila. Her Mother; Lucia Mejía along with her brothers Isaías and Gabriel and sisters Rosa and Isabel. Her cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and acquaintances.
