Adeline Albina Slanina Mitchell Krolczyk

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Levi J. Mitchell, Jr. and Henry Krolczyk, son Mark Steven Mitchell, sister, Vlasta Schoppa Naiser, brothers Henry and Eugene Slanina.

She is survived by her daughters Jo Ann Mitchell Prater of Baytown, Donna Mitchell Shryoc (Kirk) of Indianapolis, IN, sister-in-law Mildred Slanina of LaGrange, TX, aunt Dorothy Laird Hargrove of Houston, grandsons Bryan Prater (Amy) and Steven Prater of Baytown, Kirk Shryoc, Jr. (Allyson) of Montclair, New Jersey, Chase Shryoc (Svetha) of Hong Kong, China, great-grandsons Jordan Prater, Gavin Shryoc, and Xander Shryoc, great-grandaughters Alexis, Kylie, and Keira Prater, a number of nephews and nieces, and longtime friend Bernice Kovalcik.

Following her retirement from Peoples State Bank, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, following all the Houston area sports teams, and spending time with her family. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society, K.J.Z.T., and Catholic Daughters.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 PM followed by a rosary at 7:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Navarre Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, Sept. 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Dwight Canizares officiating, followed by a burial at White Cemetery in Highlands.
