A loving grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her home Monday, March 19, 2012. She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge and a retired purchasing agent for LA School for the Visually Impaired. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, from 5 PM until 8 PM and will resume Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 9 AM until service at 12 PM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her brother, Wilson Ray Mendow and wife, Janet Mendow; grandson, William Aaron Scott and wife, Lizzie Burt Scott; two granddaughters, Jamee Scott Lemmler and husband, Phillip H. Lemmler, and Leigh Ann Scott; and two great grandchildren, Scott Michael and Victoria Alyce Lemmler. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Wilson and Annie Lee Allen Mendow; husband, James L. Scott; and son, James William “Billy” Scott.
