William Barron Presley, Jr., born April 9, 1927 in Port Arthur, TX and resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away to join the Lord in Heaven, on December 11th, 2017 at the age of 90. William was a graduate of The University of Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering 1950.He also served our country in The U.S. Navy, serving as an Officer Trainer during World War II. William was hired by Fisk Electric Company of Houston, TX in 1951 as an Electrical Engineer. Through his hard work and achievements he rose through the ranks to become Vice President in 1958. He managed the companies Louisiana offices and operations from 1958 to his retirement in 1984. William or “W.B.” to many who knew him, was an avid golfer and member of the Baton Rouge Country Club. He loved the game and his playing partners, actively playing past the age of 85. A loving father, grandfather, and brother, William is survived by his son, Brian Presley; grandchildren, Ella Presley, Kinsley Parault, Kaden Fremin; sisters, Pat Corie, Kay Schmitt, and Jean Conerly; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by wife, Sandra Presley; son, Russ Grant; sister, Joy McMillian; and parents, William Barron Presley, Sr. and Beulah Addison Presley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and their wonderful staff whom took great care of William since January of 2014. A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, December 14, 2017 beginning at 8 am until funeral service at 10 am.
