Wilbur Wesley Hudson Sr., age 87, native of Sumrall, Mississippi and resident of Baker, passed away on July 10, 2013 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. Wilbur grew up in Baker, LA graduating from Baker High School. He served in the Navy and worked for Bell South for 42 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and will be remembered as a loving husband and father. Wilbur is survived by his children, Patricia Rae Cavalier, Sandra Karen Hudson and husband Richard Gentry, Tammy Jo Hudson McLin and husband Gerard, Melanie Ann H. Winklepleck and husband Jim, and Wilbur Hudson Jr. and wife Gabrielle; step-children, Ronald Dean Gallaway, Dennis Glenn Gallaway, and Joan Bradley and husband Bill; grandchildren, Shelly McAllister, Tessa Head, Ashley Hudson, Clayton Jordan, Michael Jordan, Heather Worthington, Kyle Downey, Katelyn Heil, Julia Bradley, Brandi Gallaway, Dennis Gallaway Jr. and Crystal Gallaway; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Amanda, Rebecca, Sierra, Laura Hope, Meaghan, Chloe, Brianna, Brea, Reese, Zachary, Blake, Addie, and Rae Ann; great great grandchildren, Rae Lyn, Jacoby and Jaden; and siblings, Virgie Thompson and Wayman “Billie” Hudson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen K. Hudson; daughter, Crystal Hudson; parents, Walter and Gertrude Hudson; and siblings, Vernie Townley, Warren “Mutt” Hudson, Winston Hudson and Walter Hudson. Visitation will be 5pm – 9pm, Thursday, July 11, 2013 and will continue Friday, July 12, 2013 at 1pm until the funeral service at 2pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home.
