Wanda L. Sanchez, born May 8, 1940, in Baton Rouge passed away peacefully May 30, 2015. Wanda was a 1958 graduate of Istrouma High School. Preceded in death by her parents, E.J. Sanchez, Sr. and Maude Boudreaux Sanchez, her brother and sister-in-law, E.J. Sanchez, Jr. and Juanita Sanchez, and her older sister Shirley Sanchez. She is survived by her younger sister, Patricia Mullen, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and her friend an caregiver, Ann along with her very special friend, Chelsea. The family wishes to thank Dr. Abernathy and her staff, Dr. Raven, the staff of Mary Bird Perkins Infusion Center, the 5th floor oncology unit at the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical center, and the Hospice Staff at the Butterfly Wing in the Baton Rouge General Hospital. Wanda's wishes were to be cremated with no memorial service.
