A kind and special person, an artistic genius and a loving friend, Jim died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at his home in Baton Rouge. Born May 14, 1928, he devoted his life to collecting antiques and things of beauty as well as his avid pursuit of salvaging all things deemed exotic or interesting. After serving our country in Korea, he began his career as the owner of "Flowers Styled by Jim" in a building of his own design on Essen Lane. Upon retiring, he earned his nickname the "Silver fox" due to his graying hair and wily, clever attitude. Preceded in death by his loving mother, Hanna, he goes to join her in the arms of God. He will always be cherished by his "adoptive son" and loved by his friends and family. Cryptside service will be held at St. George Catholic Church Mausoleum off Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11. All friends and family are invited to attend.
