Walden Eugene Miller, 89 from Mt. Herman, LA passed away peacefully on 9/13/2022. Walden was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, Rock of our family, who was genuine, loving, and hard working. Retired from the LA DOTD with 32 years as an Engineering Specialist, Appliance Technician at Sears for 10 years, Facilities Manager at Jefferson Baptist Church for 11 years. Favorite things: family, church, coffee, LSU football and baseball, church baseball and softball, square dancing, hunting, and fishing. Walden served as a medic in the Air Force during the Korean War, stationed in England.
Survived by his loving wife Anelia Miller of 65 years; Children: Edwin Miller and Jennifer Seal (Dale); Grandchildren: Jacob (Adi), Kelly (Jonathan), Nathan, Kristen, and Danny (Lauren); Great Grandchild: Maya; Siblings: Dwayne Randall Miller and Ruth Nell Kinnison; In-laws: Wesley (Nita) Grice, Sam (Cookie) Grice, Landry Grice, and Jerrell (Debbie) Grice; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by; parents David H. and Hester Miller; brother: David Earl Miller, in-laws Hulon and Edna Grice; Jim Kinnison, Linda Miller, Mary Miller, and Elaine Grice.
Services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Jefferson Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation at 9:30 and Funeral Service at 11:00. Graveside Service will be at East Fork Baptist Church, 17278 LA 1054, Kentwood, LA at 3:00.
