Vittoria Francesca Lovisa, 68, raised her glass for the last time on July 10, 2024 in her Prairieville, Louisiana home. Vittoria was born on November 18, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Italian immigrant Valentino Vittorio Lovisa and Jeanne Tabone. Vittoria was often found at her father’s dinner table where she relished in his WWII stories while enjoying his authentic Italian cuisine. No stranger to a challenge, Vittoria worked as a radiology technician to pay for her speech pathology studies at Louisiana State University. Vittoria carried her passion for helping others into her professional life when she created her insurance brokerage firm. In the years following, she built a legacy of integrity and compassion while becoming a powerhouse of the insurance industry. Vittoria was a bonne vivante who surrounded herself with a beautiful family, great friends, fine wine, incredible cuisine, exceptional horses, and the best furs. Vickie’s passing leaves a void for many.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Valentino L. Lovisa; father, Valentino Vittorio Lovisa; step-mother, Bobbie “Miss Bobbie” Lovisa, and mother, Jeanne Tabone. She is survived by her loving son, Daniel Lovisa Marsh; beloved "grandorables,” Thatcher James Marsh (10) and Georgia Elizabeth Marsh (8); life partner, Paul Mayard, and devoted Belgian Malinois companion, Mia.
Visitation will be held at 9:30AM on Saturday, July 20, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM; both held at St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A reception will follow at Bin 77 Bistro & Sidebar. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been created in Vittoria’s honor to pair Belgian Malinois with wounded veterans in need of service animals: https://www.gofundme.com/f/honoring-vittoria
