While she was born in Kane, Pennsylvania she spent most of her formative years in Lafayette, Louisiana and is a graduate of Lafayette High School. She had an unwavering faith to her lord and savior, Jesus Christ and rarely missed a Sunday at First United Methodist Church; The same church she wed the love of her life, Neill Herman Terry in 1977. Shortly after their nuptials the couple moved to Metairie, Louisiana, where they would raise their only son until moving to Baton Rouge in 2001.
Vicki was absolutely dedicated to her family, especially her grandchildren.. who seldom heard the word no from their beloved GiGi. She thoroughly enjoyed her time quilting and sewing with “the girls” and made many quilts that will be cherished for generations to come. She also enjoyed traveling, tending to her beautiful flowers and never met a dog she didn’t want to take home.
Survived by her Son, Thomas Neill Terry and Wife Carly Terry; Grandchildren, Ayden and Adeline Terry; Sister in law, Marsha Terry Williams and Husband Clyde Williams.
Vicki is preceded in death by her Mother, Mary Chapman Laughlin; Father William Laughlin , her two younger brothers, Steven Laughlin and William “Billy” Laughlin; as well as her devoted husband for 46 years, Neill Herman Terry.
Friends and Family are invited to the First United Methodist Church 930 North Blvd. Rouge, LA 70802, Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 for a visitation beginning at 10:00AM until the funeral service at 11:00AM. Burial is to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church.
