

Surrounded by loving hands, Laura Verna Dupuis Arceneaux, a resident of Baton Rouge for over 50 years, died peacefully on May 14, 2012. She was born on September 11, 1930 in Arnaudville, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband Pierre Edmond Arceneaux, Jr. and her parents, Joseph Dupuis and Laurence Lanclos Dupuis. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to many, she will be greatly missed. She is survived by six children: daughter, Meline and husband Richard Krupp of Lafayette, LA; daughter Wanda and husband Mike Gammell of Santa Teresa, New Mexico; daughter Janie Arceneaux of Baton Rouge; daughter Mary and husband Dave Greenen of Montrose, CO; a son, Eddie Arceneaux and wife Peggy, of Zachary; and a son, Paul Arceneaux and wife Tammy of Big Spring, TX. In addition, she was loved and cared for by her "adopted" daughter, Kelly Carpenter. Also survived by grandchildren: Jennifer Willeford and husband Todd; Ben LeBlanc and wife Jennifer; Laurie Doolittle and husband Mike; Josh Arceneaux and wife Britney; Sara Arceneaux and Andy Arceneaux. She will be greatly missed by her great-grandchildren, Alexis LeBlanc, Brayden Coan, Cade Arceneaux, Natalie, Elisha Arceneaux and Madeline Bertrand. Also survived by two loving brothers: Lee Dupuis and his wife, Kathryn, and Melvin "Bob" Dupuis and his wife, Grace. She leaves behind loving sisters-in-law: Mildred Primm, Thelma Guidry and Jeanette Higdon. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Dupuis and John Robin. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. on May 18, 2012, conducted by Rev.
