On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Vera Ann Vercher LeBlanc passed away peacefully at Flannery Oaks Guest House with family by her side. She was 91 years old and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was born in Chopin, LA on October 25, 1932 to Emma and Earl Vercher. Vera is preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Earl Vercher; husband of 72 years, Lloyd Joseph “Picky” LeBlanc; daughter, Robbie Ann LeBlanc Alexander; sister, Mae Vercher Weller; in-laws, Teleismar “Nab” and Felicie Cavalier LeBlanc. She is survived by sisters, Dimple and Betty Joyce Vercher; sons, David Lynn LeBlanc, Darrell Joseph LeBlanc (Carolyn); adopted grandson, Corey Wayne Marshall (Christy); grandchildren, Heidi Pritchett (Flynn), Landon LeBlanc (Kristy), Brandy Fung (Wayne), Anthony Lachney (Courtney), Brandon LeBlanc (Brittany), Jene’ Noto (Nick), Jacelyn Hackett (Michael) and Brandi Stodard (Michael); 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; Vera was a devoted housewife who loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She supported “Picky” in all his endeavors including helping him run a small business after his retirement from Westinghouse. Vera and “Picky” enjoyed going to the casinos and to Morley’s Marina in back Brusly, dancing and visiting friends they had met over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 8:30 am until time of funeral services at 10:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Corey Marshall, Jacob Marshall, Brandon LeBlanc, Landon LeBlanc, Anthony Lachney and Nathan Lachney.
