He was a resident of Pride, a native of Huttig, Ark., and a retired employee of Ethyl Corp. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Tupie died at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. He was 85. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday from noon until the religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jerry Pitts. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Isabel Bueche Henry; daughter, Desiree Guillory, of Lafayette; son, Patrick Henry, of Pride; grandsons, Jeremy and Ladd Guillory, both of Lafayette; sisters, Vernell Murphy and Virginia Brunson, both of Monroe; brothers, Corlis and Virgil Henry, both of Rayville; four nieces and six nephews; Tupie was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Vana Nixon Henry; son, Morgan Henry; and brother, James Henry. He was a sharing person who enjoyed the simple life and loved to entertain others with his humor.
