Timothy Joseph Whitney Sr.

Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. A resident of Prairieville, and a native of Lutcher, he passed away Wednesday September 25, 2013. He was 86, and a retired Pharmacist, and a WWII veteran of the US Navy. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Cynthia and Patrick Mansfield of Prairieville, three sons Timothy J. Whitney Jr. of Prairieville, Eugene Paul Whitney and wife, Theresa of Denham Springs, and Perry John Whitney and wife Bridgette of Central; three siblings; Judy Cronin, Joan Gonzalez, and Wayne Whitney; twelve grandchildren; Sarah and Timothy Mansfield, Deanna and Laurie Whitney, Tracey Montgomery and husband Justin, Christopher and Sylvia Ancar, Ashley, Jessica, Jacob, Maxine, and Niki Whitney; five great grandchildren; Alyse Melugin, Brayden Montgomery, Landon and London Whetstone, Aiden Cook; and his lifelong friend, Joe Cronan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Ard Whitney; parents; Gilbert E. Whitney and Beatrice A. Lirette; and seven siblings; Gilbert Whitney Jr., Cornelius Whitney, Marie De Roche, Randolph Whitney, Mary Raymond, Bernard Whitney, and Carol Crawford. Visitation will be Saturday September 28, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
