Tim went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. He was 62 years old, a native of Baton Rouge and longtime resident of Baker. He was a retired electrical engineer with General Electric. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam conflict. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Friday July 27 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 28 from 10 a.m. until religious service in the funeral home chapel at 12 conducted by Reverend Gene Rives. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of over 41 years, Glenda Ballard; one son, Bryan Ballard and wife Dr. Heather Kirk-Ballard; one daughter, Jennifer Ballard Maltbie and husband Dr. Alan Maltbie; one sister, Lynda Lorren; one brother, Brent Ballard and wife Tracey; and God's most precious gifts to him and the keepers of his heart, his granddaughters Sophie Louise Maltbie and Olivia Lauren Ballard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Evelyn Ballard. The pallbearers will be Bryan Ballard, Alan Maltbie, Jimmy Spruell, Mark Stafford, Johnny Stafford, Skipper Denham and Bill Traylor. The gifts he left his family were those of being a devoted servant by his actions of being a faithful husband and loving father and grandfather. He was a member of the Baker Methodist Church and IEEE. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity .
