T. Joe Calloway, native of Centreville, MS. and native of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the age of 90. T. Joe was a well-rounded business man and was very successful in the hotel industry as well as his many real estate ventures. He was a well-known and respected entrepreneur, friend, and mentor, who prided himself in helping others to succeed. He was a veteran in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather who is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Ouida B. Calloway; daughters, Sharon ""Sherrie"" C. Bettis-Posey and husband, Mike; Glenda Calloway- Sockwell and husband Glynn; and Wendy Calloway; grandchildren, Lisa Picard and husband Brian, Donnie Joe Calloway and wife Jamie, Kevin Bettis, Kathy Blanchard and husband André, Dallas Martinez and husband Jessie, and Bo Deshotels and Elsie; 13 grandchildren: Blake, Brannon, April, Callie, Conner, Mason, Brayden, Blaine, Austin, Cason, Landon, Gabriel, and Brendon; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Catherine Calloway; brother, Buddy Calloway; and sisters, Lucy McGraw, Kitty Welch, and Leona Fowler.Visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5PM-9PM and will resume on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 10AM until funeral service at 12PM. A graveside service and interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kevin Bettis, Donnie Joe Calloway, Keith Calloway, Dick Brien, Stennis Richardson, Jessie Martinez, Brannon McGraw, and Blake McGraw and one honorary pallbearer, Bo Deshotels.
