Stanley Joseph Triche, Jr., a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the age of 83. He was born on June 9, 1939 to Stanley Joseph Triche, Sr. and Nettie Lea Triche. He was a graduate of Catholic High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing cards, watching sports, and eating crawfish. He earned his living as a “sports prognosticator”. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Stacy Triche; and grandchildren: Brennan Triche, Beau Triche, and Brandt Triche, all of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Jo E. O’Neill and her children and grandchildren, all of which he considered his extended family: Raph and Peggy, Julie, and Laurie and Brendan; Audrey, Emily, Ryan, Grace, Grif, Garrett, Sam E., Marston, Maxwell, and Liam. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Lea Triche; his father, Stanley Joseph Triche, Sr.; sister, Nettie Lea Dickerson; and daughter, Shannon Lea Triche. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St, on Monday evening, October 24, 2022, from 5pm until 8pm, and will resume on Tuesday morning from 9am until funeral at 11am in the chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Brennan Triche, Brandt Triche, Beau Triche, John Kent, Kenron Ritchie, and Larry Cooper. Honorary Bearers will be: Anthony Piazza, Brian Wilson, Raph O’Neill, and Terry Breaux.
