Shirley Brown Duhon, age 92, who was a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2016. She is survived by her brother, Donald (Tookie) Brown; her sister, Melba Speeg; her sisters-in-law, Charlena Brown, and Joy Brown, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oswald Duhon, Jr; brothers, Carl Brown, Sr., John (Pal) Brown, Jr; her sister, Annabelle Landers; and her beloved pets, Honey and Bre. Shirley retired as a secretary from Larry Fourrier Insurance Company. She was very involved in church activities and a member of The Catholic Daughters and Knights of Columbus Auxillary. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice . The family wishes to thank all of Shirley's caregivers for their kindness and compassion over the last few months. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the services begin at 11:00 AM, Friday April 22, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge.
