Sheila Templet Davis

Sheila Marie Templet Davis, 67, a native of Goldsboro, N.C. and a resident of Central, LA passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Sheila was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, a charter member of the Bengal Belles and affectionately known to many as “The Tiger Lady”. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Warren “Joe” Davis, Sr.; children: Warren Davis, Jr. and wife Gina, and Jody Moss and husband Cory; grandchildren: Hannah Davis, Braden Moss, Collin Moss, Victoria Moss, Tere Griffin and Jessica Griffin; and sister-in-law Volean Marie Hughes. She is preceded in death by her daughter Shemayne Griffin; parents Richard and Virginia Templet; and brother J.R. Templet. A Celebration of Sheila’s life will take place at Greenoaks Life Celebration and Reception Center on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 5pm until 8pm. All are encouraged to wear their purple and gold colors. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 9:30am until a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am. Entombment will immediately follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sheila’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
