"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7) Ruth Serpas Ulrich passed away at home on January 2, 2015. A native and former resident of New Orleans, Ruth was a school teacher with the Catholic School System of New Orleans before moving to Baton Rouge. Survived by her husband, Richard, three grandsons, Scott Senner and wife Charlene, Shane Bordelon and wife Denise, and Brad Bordelon and wife Collen; great grandchildren Payton, Jordan, Cole, Mia and Beau. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Ruth Licaize, brother Nathan and Daughter Judith. Visiting will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am officiated by Rev. Tom Duhe'. Graveside services will be at 2pm at Hope Mausoleum in New Orleans, La. A special thanks to caregivers Marylin and Debria plus the nurses and staff of Cannon Hospice.
