Ruth Helen Shelton HallBorn in Watson, LA January 14, 1926, Ruth departed this life on June 15, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was 89-years-old.  A resident of East Baton Rouge Parish. She was a homemaker.  Ruth is survived by two sons; Gerald Wayne Hall, Sr. and wife, Patsy of Baton Rouge; Gaylen Russell Hall and wife, Sherilyn of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; and a daughter, Deborah Hall Dodd and husband, Ronnie of Kingwood, TX. Her 10 grandchildren include: Jeffery Wayne Hall of Metairie; Kimberly Ann Hall-Smith of Maurepas; Gerald Wayne Hall, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Baker; Vicki Lynn Hall-Frick of Denham Springs; Brian Keith Hall of Greenwell Springs; Brandon Daryl Hall and wife, Traci of Miramar Beach, FL.; Amanda Lee Hall of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. ; Jimmy Borne and wife Jackie of Houston, TX;  Meghan Leigh Dodd-Hudson and husband, Thomas of Porter, TX; Kathryn Lyn Dodd-Wilson and husband, Scott of Houston, TX. From the above, she has 16 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. She is also survived by 2 step-grandchildren, Robbie Rhodus and wife Cindy of Denham Springs, and 4 of their children, and 3 great step-grandchildren; and Burton Evans of Baton Rouge.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home-East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge. Visitation will resume on Thursday at the First Pentecostal Church, 2828 Jones Creek Rd., Baton Rouge beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00pm,  conducted by Brother Dan Davis, pastor of the First Pentecostal Church.  Interment  will follow at  Roselawn Memorial Park  in Baton Rouge.  Pallbearers include her grandsons Jeffery Hall, Gerald Hall, Jr., Brian Hall, Brandon Hall, Jimmy Borne and step-grandson, Robbie Rhodus. Honorary pallbearers include Chase and Kyle Hall, great grandsons and Burton Evans, step-grandson.  Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randolph Wilson Hall, Sr.; son, Randolph "Randy" Wilson Hall, Jr.; a grandson, Jason Ashley Hall; father, Jesse D. Shelton; mother, Elma Strahan Shelton and 3 brothers.
