Russell Reno, 85, a native of Fordoche, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. A kind, gentle and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Russell enjoyed spending time outdoors. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, woodworking, and Cajun dancing of which he was a member of the CFMA. He was a 60 year member of the Asbestos Union Local #53 and a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church parish since 1962. He is survived by his second wife Janice Argrave Reno; children: Phyllis R. Guy and husband Keith, and Terri R. Leigh and husband Billy; grandchildren: Julie Sharp and husband Jeremy, Dustin Guy and wife Kyla, and Nicholas and Katherine Leigh; and great grandchildren: Abigail, Victoria and Julianne Sharp, and Madelyn and Natalie Guy; step-children: Karla Argrave, Daryl Argrave, Duane Argrave and Donna Hunt; step grandchildren: Jason and Ashley Argrave, and Caleb and Jessica Hunt; and brother, Angelo Reno and sister, Lucy R. Giordono. He is preceded in death by his first wife Anne Hebert Reno; parents George and Mary Reno; brothers: Joe Reno, Tony Reno, Vincent Reno, Vic Reno, and sisters; Josephine R. Free, Sarah R. Cacioppo, and Jennie R. Bueche. Pallbearers are: Daryl Argrave, Caleb Hunt, Anthony Reno, Duane Argrave, Jimmy Reno, and Jeremy Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Leigh and Jason Argrave. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm a recitation of the rosary will be said at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church from 10am until service time at 11am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
