Roxanne Roche Jeansonne, age 61 and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 9, 2021. She was born on August 17, 1959.
Roxanne lived a full life dedicated to her family and friends. She was a strong and courageous woman of great faith whose generosity and care for those she loved was unmatched. She was a beautiful woman who lit up the room with her infectious smile and charismatic personality.
Roxanne is survived by her husband, IV Jeansonne, her children, Josh Phillips (Darla) and Skye Phillips Strain (Grady). Her beloved grandchildren, Brooklynn Phillips, Bryson Phillips, Hunter Curcio, and Maddie Strain. Her brother, Richard Roche, Jr., her niece Kellie Sirk (Jeff), great niece and nephew, Skylar and Cooper Sirk and nephews Richey Roche (Buttons), Jake Roche and Mavrick Roche.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Roche, Sr. and mother, Shirley M. McNemar.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers Jessica and Samantha with Home Instead and to her thoughtful neighbors in Shadowbrook. Also, a heartfelt thank you to her lifelong friend, Kathy Ward.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 9am -12pm. Funeral service will immediately follow. Pall bearers are Josh Phillips, Jeff Sirk, Cooper Sirk, Grady Strain, Richey Roche and David Guttery. Honorary Pall bearers are Bryson Phillips, Hunter Curcio, and Rick Guttery. After her funeral service, Roxanne will be laid to rest in the mausoleum at Greenoaks.
