Rose Dedon

Rose Marie Macaluso Dedon, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away May 27, 2022at the age of 84. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and retired from East Baton Rouge Parish School System after 32 years. Ms. Dedon is survived by her daughter, Tammy Dedon of Baron Rouge; son and son in law, Mickey Dedon and Frank Yunc of Houston, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and the ASA Softball family where she held the position of Louisiana Junior Olympic State Commissioner for Girls Softball. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband JW “Bird” Dedon of 39 years, parents Angelo and Mamie Roth Macaluso; sister and brother in law, Mamie and John Brown.

Services at Greenoaks Funeral Home, visiting Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks, Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 11:00am until service time of 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Finally, special thanks to all the doctors and nursing staff at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center ICCU unit for providing care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Association in memory of Rose Dedon.
