Rose Mary (Ponsock) Brown

Rose Mary Ponsock Brown, 95 of Baton Rouge passed away Thursday October 19, 2023 at her home. Rose Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. She was 100% Hungarian and very proud of her heritage. She loved cooking for her family. She served as the Insurance Administrator at the Catholic Life Center for the Diocese of Baton Rouge for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rainey Brown; her daughter Terri Brown and her parents, Joseph and Mary Ponsock and is survived by four daughters, Rainette Stephens (John), Bernadette McConnell, Beverly Keiser (Cliff) and Mary Dawson (Seth); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two precious nieces (Rose Mary and Barbara) of Ohio and a dear cousin (Betty Adams) of Tickfaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2250 Main Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 with visitation from 9:30am to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
