Rose G. Beatty

Rose G. Beatty, age 96, passed on to her eternal life on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She was a native of Ciales, Puerto Rico and a long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Rose was a very vivacious lady who lived life to the fullest each and every day. Throughout her many years she enjoyed traveling, gardening, attending sporting events from LSU and the Saints to whatever sports her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were playing. She was the fan you could hear throughout the stadium! She was an amazing cook and loved preparing meals for her large family and friends. Rose was a faithful servant in her community as a volunteer Pink Lady at Our Lady of the Lake for 40 years. She also volunteered at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church fairs, well into her 80’s. Attending daily mass with her late husband, Milton, was an important part of her life. Spending time with her family was her absolute greatest joy. She is survived by her children; Tommy Miremont (Patty), Tim Miremont, Denise Stevens (Kevin), John Miremont (Kristina), and Danny Miremont (Judy); grandchildren, Jessica Gaspard (Scott), Aimee McLeod (Darrin), Missy Begue (Brian), James Miremont, Bradley Beychok (Cassie) and Louis Miremont (Maria); 19 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Laura, Irene, Roberto, and Risel. Rose is preceded in death by her son, James Edward Miremont; infant grandson, Michael Thomas Miremont; beloved husband, Milton Beatty; father, Miguel Gines; mother, Ofrencia Seda Ortero; and siblings, Filomena, Salvadore, Josefina, Elisa, Providensia, Luis, Julio, and Caemon. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 10 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11 A.M. The family of Rose Beatty would like thank the staff from Magnolia Brook/Barclay House and Baton Rouge Hospice for their loving care and support for their Mom over these past several months.
