Rosalie “Tenny” Parker, “God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around her and whispered, come to me.” A homemaker and resident of Denham Springs, she passed away March 5, 2012 at the tender age of 80. She was married to her loving husband and best friend for 60 beautiful years. She is survived by her husband Ray; their 3 daughters: Janet Lynn Parker, Geraldine “Jerri” Guidry and Laura Kay Parker; two grandchildren: Erica Tate and Christopher Tate; three great grandchildren: Hayden Bailey, Ashton Bailey and Kayle Tate; her sister Audrey Shumway; and numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Nipper. She is preceded in death by her 8 brothers and sisters: Harry Dedon, David “Moosie” Dedon, Jacob Dedon, William “Bird” Dedon, Cleveland Dedon, Betty Cain, Carrie Cason, Catherine Comeaux; and her parents Laura Lemay and Harry Dedon. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 10am until time of services at noon. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Christopher Tate, Johnny Dedon, Darryl Dedon, John Taylor, Rodney Bailey and CJ Kimbel.
