Ronald Webb “Bubba” Palmer passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2021 in Houston, Texas. Bubba was born on March 23, 1936 to Ventress Glancy Palmer and Etta Wallace in Baton Rouge where he lived most of his life. His family gave him his nickname at an early age. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Patsy Palmer. Also left to cherish his memory are daughter Sharon L. Pennington, granddaughter Paige Pennington Flangan, great grandson Julian James Flangan, daughter Lisa Boggan, son Wayne Armstrong, sister Glancie Carter and numerous nieces and nephews. Bubba had a passion for training, riding, and showing Appaloosa horses. He participated in numerous competitions winning “Supreme Champion” at the national level. He also loved to fish, hunt, and spend time at the beach. He graduated from Baton Rouge High and Baton Rouge Trade School and worked for 995 Electrical Union for 40 years. Bubba also proudly served his country in the Army National Guard in his younger years. He was preceded in death by his parents Ventress and Etta Palmer, and sisters Joyce Humble and D’Ette Roux.
Services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Greenoaks Funeral Home-9595 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, LA 70815 with visitation from 1:00pm to service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
