A resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baton Rouge, he passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family. Bobby, 63, was an avid bass fisherman and was employed with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran who proudly served his country and was also retired from Ethyl Corp. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, May 22, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home chapel Monday, May 23, from 10 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by the Rev. McGraw. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Susan R. Walker; a son, Jason Walker and fiancée Angela Lowther; a stepdaughter, Aimee Dispenza; a stepson, Sam Dispenza Jr. and wife Danielle; a sister, Delores Brown and husband James; brothers, Wayne Walker and Randy Walker and wife Beth; and grandchildren, Violet Walker, Liliana and Sophia Dispenza. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank V. Walker Sr.; and a brother, Frank V. Walker Jr. Pallbearers will be Hoyt and Jeff Dubois, Michael K. Sr., Michael K Jr., Trey and Troy Walker, Donald Lee and Mike Bell. Honorary pallbearer is Ralph Walker.
