Robert Louis Lambert Sr.

Robert Louis Lambert, Sr. passed away April 21, 2021. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene E. Lambert, Jr. and Noella Vicknair Lambert, and his sister, Sonya Lambert. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lambert Stewart (George); son, Robert L. Lambert, Jr. (Kristal); daughter, Laurie Lambert Wales (Scott); brothers, Lionel Lambert (Susan); Dale Lambert (Mary Bayne); Darrell Lambert (Cindy); sister, Denice Coyle (Jeff); grandchildren Lexi Lambert, Jonah Lambert, Macey Stewart, Emeline Young, Audrey Wales.

Robert loved to attend sporting events, especially LSU baseball games and high school football games. His love for athletics stemmed from his youth where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. He was star of the pitcher's mound in high school when he pitched a double-header for Redemptorist and won the state championship in 1965. After high school, he pitched for the former USL Bulldogs. Robert's career was in banking. He was a devoted son, caring brother, and always loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Eating at Middendorf's was a favorite thing to do, and his pockets usually held a few Wint-O-Green mints. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 1 pm until time of memorial service at 2 pm. A burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Please visit www.greenoaksfunerals.com to leave condolences to the family.
