Robert Lee Bozeman passed away into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 96. He was born on August 14, 1927, to the late Oscar K. Bozeman, Sr. and Vera Taylor, in Baton Rouge, LA. Bob was a 1944 graduate of Baton Rouge High School and a 1950 graduate of LSU. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy. He was a life member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and Delta Sigma Pi. He was also a proud co-founder of the Evlyn J. Daniel Educational Foundation. He was married to Grace Kinney on February 16, 1952. They were married for 64 years until her death in 2017. They were longtime members of First Baptist Church and University Baptist Church. They moved to Dallas, TX, in 2010 and became members of Wilshire Baptist Church. Their favorite pastime was with their Supper Club of over 40+ years and their love of travel. One of Bob’s greatest joys was playing tournament croquet for many years all over the US. He was an avid reader of history and loved sharing his knowledge with his family. Bob is survived by his daughters, Jane Matthiesen (David) of Dallas, TX, Nancy Cimino (Sam) of Shreveport, LA, and Susan Clarke (William) of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Tommy Bozeman (Pat) of Austin, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife, Grace; grandson, Sam Thomas Cimino; parents; brothers, Oscar K. Bozeman, Jr., Ralph Bozeman, and Warren Bozeman; and sisters, Jeanette B. Kilburn, and Betty B. Behrnes. Graveside services will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10am. Burial will immediately follow.
