Robert “Bob” Edward Munns passed into the presence of his loving Savior on the morning of November 17, 2024. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 5, 1937, Mr. Bob’s life story is like a series of movies he so enjoyed sharing with friends and family. From working as a caddy at the golf course and competing on the swim team in Kansas, he moved on to working as a mortician’s assistant. He then served four years in the Air Force, working in photo intelligence, before earning his BFA at the University of Texas in Austin. Along the way he met the love of his life, Dianne, wife of 55 years. Together they moved to Iowa, where both Mr. Bob and Mrs. Dianne pursued graduate work. He served countless others as a teacher and counselor, working with veterans and volunteering with hospice. And one day, while living in California, he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming an actor, playing roles both on screen and on stage, including a play in the Crystal Cathedral. If you had the privilege of knowing Mr. Bob, you know that he loved his family and friends, that he never met a stranger, and that he was generous, kind, and always had a twinkle in his eye and some mischief up his sleeve. He was also full of curiosity about the world and about the Lord, and never tired of hearing the promises of the gospel. Mr. Bob is survived by his wife Dianne (Clinton, LA); daughter and son-in law, Carlyn and Dave Crowe, and grandson, Sam Crowe (Des Moines, IA). Visitation will be at Faith Presbyterian Church, 11659 Liberty St., Clinton, LA, on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 9am until the memorial service at 10am.
